Obtaining
Copyright / ISBN / Bar Code for your Book
Traditionally, copyright,
ISBN, CIP, and Library Of Congress information is printed on
the back of the full title page of every book. This page is
commonly referred to as the Copyright Page. At Art
Bookbindery, we will ensure that your copyright page contains
the proper information before going to print. We will also
ensure that the information is typeset according to
international law so that your book may be distributed and
sold internationally. In order to simplify the process of
obtaining a copyright, ISBN, CIP (Canada) and Library of
Congress control number (U.S.) for your book, we have provided
links and addresses to these sources for our customers located
in both the U.S. and Canada.
We feel it is in the best
interest of all writers to secure proper copyright protection
for their book. We also encourage the use of an ISBN number,
especially if you are requiring a bar code for the sale of
your book, as the bar code design is based on the ISBN system
of numbers. A standard bar code design for your book is
available through us at a cost of $43.50. This is a one-time
fee. The bar code image is often required when marketing your
books through local area booksellers. For complete
